Steve goes out on the town talking to people on buses, in cabs, at the zoo, wherever about their pets. Examples, include funny stories about pet's names, funny things pets do, how they got their pets, etc. This segment will be highlighting people's devotion to and love of their pets.

Taking it to the Streets

Steve attends events or goes to animal-related destinations that are sponsoring activities that benefit animals. Includes trips to charitable dog walks, seminars or events such as take your dog to dinner night.

Email of the Week

In this segment, Steve helps listeners solve problems like cat scratching and dog barking. Steve offers practical advice and solutions. A prize will be given to the listener that submits the question or topic.

Pick of the Litter

Steve reviews new books and movies and interviews authors and actors. This is a quick highlight of what's new.

Holiday Pet gifts (seasonal)

Steve visits retail outlets to see what crazy, off-the-wall gift ideas are available for pet gift giving.

Animal Planet Radio is a one-hour weekly show covering all aspects of the animal world from companion pets to animals from the wild.  Hosted by a seasoned broadcaster from the animal world, Steve Dale will interact with listeners through live phone calls, as well as email. Guests will include well-known Animal Planet personalities, behaviorists, vets, keepers and field researchers who work hands-on with the big guys at zoos and in game preserves from around the world will make guest appearances.  Topics will be current and will include breaking news, from new vaccine protocols for house cats to the return of the giant pandas to the National Zoo.

Steve Dale is a nationally recognized pet expert, an award winning broadcaster & a proud member of the Animal Planet radio team.

Steve also hosts The Pet News with Steve Dale, a short form daily radio feature with helpful tips on companion animal care, ranging from ferrets to dogs and cats. Daily nuggets have included pieces on how to entertain an iguana, to a treatment for feline diabetes. This show is also distributed by Matrix Media and is currently airing on more than 120 stations.

Steve authors the most well read pet column in the Nation, My Pet World, syndicated to more than 100 newspapers by Tribune Media Services, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Ft. Lauderdale, Houston, New York, Orlando and San Diego.

Steve's influence and expertise prompted an invitation to present a seminar on cat behavior at the prestigious Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas (2001), speak at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Annual Meeting (1999), and emcee the Dog Writers Association Awards Banquet (2000). He speaks to local shelters and humane groups regularly.

His television appearances include “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “National Geographic Explorer,” “Pets, Part of the Family,” “Petsburgh USA” and “The Pet Project” on Animal Planet. He was twice featured in Paul Harvey's “The Rest of the Story,” and his radio guest appearances number over 100 on stations large and small across the U. S and Canada.
